Our websites www.cbmedia.ie and the related services and materials available thereon (together, the “Website“) are owned and operated by CB Media.

We are a ‘data controller’ of the information you provide to us. We control the way information is used and processed.  We will never willfully disclose your personal or professional data to any third parties without your prior consent.  We have selected the Irish Data Protection Commissioner as our Lead Authority.

 

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND WHEN?

We only collect information that we will genuinely use for the purposes set out in this Policy. Specifically, we collect:

·       Profiling; We may use your data for profiling so that we can offer you new product offerings relevant to you unless you ask us not.  If you would like to opt out of marketing or object to us profiling your data for direct marketing purposes please contact us at the end of this Policy.  We will still use your data for analysis purposes however we will not use it to market to you should you chose to opt out.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use the information we collect for many reasons, here are just some reasons below:

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH?

These platforms are controlled by other people, not us, so we are not responsible for this sharing.  You should review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the social media platforms you use to ensure you understand how they will use your information, what information relating to you they will place in the public domain and how you can stop them from doing so if you are unhappy about it.

Any blog, review or other posts or comments you make about us, our products and services on any of our blog, review or user community services will be shared with all other members of that service and the public at large.

Where it is within our control, we put measures in place to ensure your data is secure.  Once your information is received by us, we take its security very seriously.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR?

In accordance with our legal data protection, marketing and privacy obligations, we will only retain your information for as long as we actually need it to achieve the purpose(s) for which we obtained it in the first place.  In some circumstances we may store your personal information for longer periods of time, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax accounting or necessary technical requirements or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation.

We will then either securely delete it or anonymise it so that it cannot be linked back to you.

We review our use of your information regularly. In doing so, we may change what we collect, how we keep it and what we will do with it.  

As a result, we will need to change this Policy from time to time to keep it accurate and up to date.

This Policy may change over time and the most up to date version will be published on our website.  If significant changes are made we will endeavour to keep you informed by post where necessary but preferably by email.  Please look out for notices from us.

If, following any changes, you continue to use our websites and mobile apps, contact us by telephone or otherwise provide information to us (for example through social media) we will take it that you agree to those changes.
